All I wanted was a new bike… For most of us in this situation, we know it‘s not as simple as picking out the next hot thing at your favorite bike shop and wheeling it home. A „friends and family“ discount from a local bike distributor can help, but it still requires far more effort to keep your bike game up-to-date without burning a big hole in your pocket. So how does one attain „new bike“ status without actually having to buy a new bike? This is my story of how mountain biking taught me an important lesson in getting the most out of the things we already own and value.
